A classic beauty
Tipitina is a traditional classic. The 43 foot Hans Christian “Christina” was designed to be the ultimate all round cruising vessel, built for safety and comfort in all sea conditions without compromising speed like her full keeled sister. Her timeless lines conjure romantic images of bygone sailing days.
She has just undergone an extensive 18 month refit and is looking prettier than ever. With her varnished teak and polished brass fittings she is a true head turner. Matt works tirelessly to keep her in Bristol fashion.
On deck the substantial bulwarks, stout double life-lines and grab rails along the entire cabin top make safety while underway exceptional.
Below deck you will find a gorgeously crafted all teak interior with 3 double cabins, a galley with a roomy dining area mid-ship and a walk-in shower with head Forward. And yes, she also has a bar.
Pearl and Oyster
Our boat dogs have lived aboard Tipitina since they were puppies and have more than a few stamps on their passports...the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, St Martin, St Barth, St Kitts, Montserrat, Guadeloupe (their favorite), Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia, Bequia, Carriacou and Grenada.
They love fishing, chasing iguanas, tummy tickles and kisses.
Bonnie and Matt
Your Captains
Matt was born and raised in the port city of Fremantle, Western Australia. He rarely strayed too far from the salt water, growing up boating, fishing and diving. Matt has been around boats his entire life. This took him all over the world, working on vessels of all shapes and sizes. While working a shipwright job, Matt met his beautiful wife Bonnie in Seattle. Bonnie grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and has lived all over the deep South before venturing to the Pacific Northwest as a travel nurse. After sailing the cold Puget Sound, Matt and Bonnie went searching for sunshine in San Diego, where they fell in love with racing and sailing. One night, after a few rums, they decided to buy a boat and sail the Caribbean. Matt and Bonnie are both licensed USCG Masters Captains currently residing in St John, USVI. Bonnie is also a Registered Nurse and Matt a Certified Rescue Diver.
